We would like to say a big thank you to every one who supported us during our collection weekend. We were really pleased with the amount we raised; it will go to helping a lot of sick and injured Wildlife. We hope you enjoyed meeting our Hedgehogs. For those of you who watch our web site, the Hedgehog I had was Willie, from the progress chart; he is doing great now and will be released in the Spring to enjoy living in the wild.
We are at Pets at Home, Orbital Way, Cannock, with Hedgehogs, this weekend, collecting for our Wildlife Rescue. Why not come and see us, have a chat and learn about Hedgehogs and Wild Birds.
On a recent trip to return a rescued cockerel to where we thought it belonged, I was attacked by a bull mastiff. As I searched for the owner of the premises, the dog came silently from nowhere and bit my hand. It is one week later and I am still visiting the hospital, but good news because the cockerel (who by the way the dog owner said was not his) has been re-homed with 7 ladies to look after..
He is now 625 gms and doing well; fingers crossed, if we can get him through to Spring, he will be rehabilitated and released.
Hi and happy new year to everyone, things are running smoothly with collection days booked and few animals arriving . I don’t know if this is a good sign or a bad one.We have registered with several directories for wild life ,so we will be able to expand our help further.
